"The Voice of the Students"

MPPUTB is a Student Association Organisation; representing the students of UTB. It acts as the voice of the students and as a bridge between the students and UTB Management through Student Affairs Unit.

It was initially known as ‘Badan Kebajikan Pelajar’ (BKP). Later in 2010, it was renamed as ‘Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa/Mahasiswi’ (MPMM). Then, in the following year, 2011, it has been officially standardised with other local institutions, as ‘Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar’ (MPP).

Since the establishment of MPPUTB, the ceremony has been organised annually to officially introduce the new line of members of the Student Representative Council to the students and lecturers of UTB. The members were appointed through a strict selection process conducted by the alumni of MPPUTB and selected UTB staff which included a challenging orientation camp to further test their capabilities and expose them to better understand their tasks, roles, and responsibilities as new leaders. In conjunction with UTB’s new branding from ITB in the year 2016, MPPITB is now recognised as MPPUTB.
